Forest regrowth and collapse

This model illustrates the tragedy of the commons on the example of a forest. The forest is exploited by a number of agents that can adopt a reasonable / altruistic strategy (only collect as much wood as can regrow) or a freerider / egoistic strategy (collect as much as they can find and carry). You can observe how the forest survives or collapses depending on its regrowth rate and the number of freeriders. Then you can also enforce various regulations to try and protect the forest despite the egoistic tendencies of agents.
