He is well-known for his <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Schelling%27s_model_of_segregation\">model of segregation<\/a>, which proved that slight preferences for living among similar neighbours can lead to a highly segregated society. In his original model, agents of 2 colours have to find a good spot on a grid, by measuring their similarity with adjacent cells, and moving if it is insufficient.
